General course description

In the course of the first semester, the laboratory sessions involve supervised assignments: short programming exercises which are corrected and related to the issues discussed in the theoretical class. These exercises are developed in a Unix environment.

The second semester is devoted to two projects. Programming assignments are given and a complete programming dossier is to be handed in.

Learning basic skills

None. However, the lab exercises are closely linked to the Java language course as well as the n Programming Logic course .

Course Aims

  • To gain an insight into Java programming in a Unix environment
  • To be able to complete an individual programming project (program and progress report)

Approximately 10 supervised assignments: implementing topics seen in the course
