General course description

This course focuses on the interactions between different operating systems and more particularly on the integration between MS Windows and Linux.

From a theoretical point of view, different integration methods are reviewed. Special focus is put on the solution Samba.

Learning basic skills

Some knowledge of OS MS Windows and GNU/Linux is necessary.

The course "Network management and administration" for MS Windows and GNU/Linux provides a good basis.

Course Aims

The student is informed on the various integration solutions present on the market.

Further to getting familiarized with Samba, the student is able to implement solutions.
