General course description

The course presents briefly the main branches of the right linked to the development of new information technologies: the legal protection of "IT products" (computer programs, semiconductors, data bases, domain names); the protection of privacy and the law of December 8th relating to protection of privacy with regard to the data processing in personal matters; publicity and commercial and contractual exchanges on Internet; computer crime.

Course Aims

The course aims to give students some bases of data processing law for their next professional experiences but also to draw their attention to the impact the development of new information technologies have today in the private life, social and professional relationships and society in general.
